Please join us for our information session for expectant and new families which provides an opportunity for expectant and new parents to receive practical information from other mums and dads with multiples about things such as pregnancy, birth and where to from there. These sessions provide an opportunity to tap into the wealth of knowledge our multiple parents have as well as giving people the opportunity to meet other expectant and new families and begin to develop support networks and friendships. For those of you who can't make the meetings in person we can set up the computer and have you dial in via GoTomeeting. That may be helpful to those in other parts of the State, or if you are on bed rest or any myriad of reasons! Just let us know- we will only set it up if we have a confirmed attendee. The main aim of the Playgroup and Parent Support Program is for you to form connections socially with other families who are also in the unique situation that we find ourselves in- caring for multiple children.  Your Volunteer hosts who run the sessions each week are wonderful parents, who want to help you to smile for 2 hours a week!  As well as the hosts- everyone who attends is amazing at providing support to fellow parents, we have many funny, serious and repetitive discussions about life, children, relationships, poo, fights, bonds, prams, bottles, schools- you name it, we talk about it!  Attending playgroup can provide you with the foundations for lifelong friendships.  New and expectant families are more than welcome to join us! It can be so valuable to meet others in a similar situation early in your journey for support and friendship. For the Children it's a play paradise! The Clarence Plains Child and Family Centre is a child centred, child friendly, comfortable and warm environment for all families with young children from birth to age 5. There is a safe area for young babies to play or relax, with plenty of space for double pram parking! All children (from crawlers to runners) will enjoy exploring in a challenging yet safe indoor/outdoor space, including homecorner, sandpit, indoor treehouse, bike track, swings and much more!  There are quiet spaces where bubs can sleep while Mum/Dad have a cuppa and take some time for themselves. Our hosts and the other parents are on hand to help with babies at the drop of a hat. During covid restricted times we can access the kitchen for tea and coffee making, however you are required to bring your own food at the moment.  Hopefully this will change as the months roll on. The timing of the session is now 9-11, and we must be out by 11.30 so they can do a midday clean ready for the afternoon.
